Saas-Almagell Adventure Trail

The Saas-Almagell Adventure Trail with it's well-maintained rocky passages which leads from Furggstalden round the Almagellerhorn to the Almagelleralp.

The main attractions are the two hanging bridges (60m and 40m long), as well as the gorgeous views over Saas-Almagell and the Saas Valley's 4,000-metre peaks. The trail also includes some well-secured rocky passages.

Please be aware that this trail is only suitable for sure-footed hikers with a good head for heights, and that children from approx. six or seven years of age should be accompanied by an adult at all times. The trail is not suitable for dogs.

The trail begins at the mountain station of the Furggstalden chairlift and sets off in a northerly direction through the woods and around the Almagellerhorn. It then continues through the Hohlerch and Mittli Flüe areas until it reaches the Almagelleralp.

It is possible to cut the tour short by taking the path back down to Saas-Almagell from Mittli Flüe. From the Almagelleralp mountain hotel hikers can continue the tour either by crossing the Almagell High-Altitude Trail to Kreuzboden or taking the Almagell Valley Trail to the Almagell mountain hut.
