Your journey begins in the Mexico City’s historic center, the neighborhood of Coyoacán or “place of coyotes.” Hundreds of years ago, Mexico City was a soggy maze of 45 rivers and five lakes atop an ancient volcano. Over the centuries, the city has experienced destruction both by human and natural causes but its people are resilient, and their spirit and strength are the bones that keep this oldest capital in the Americas unbroken and evolving.

NEXT EPISODE: Mexico’s Transgender Superstar Wrestler - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=88KmJwkFsWc

Filming for this episode took place before and after the devastating earthquake of September 2017.

We went to Mexico City to immerse ourselves in the energy and culture of the city. We left there overwhelmed by the spirit, heart, and true sense of community embodied in the people.

Discovery and Toyota proudly support the people of Mexico and their efforts to rebuild their beautiful country. The best days are ahead for Mexico City and the entire nation of Mexico.
