The Canal & River Trust has created a 360° virtual reality video experience to showcase some of our most treasured and awe-inspiring locations. From flying across Pontcysyllte aqueduct in north-east Wales to being on top of the world at Anderton Boat Lift in Cheshire, to a more spooky experience at Purton Hulks ships graveyard in Gloucestershire. The immersive experience hopes to excite and enthuse the viewer.
We’ll be taking the VR experience to events such as our popular winter open days, festivals, and more excitingly into towns and cities where people have perhaps never seen a canal or just don’t know there’s one nearby. If you’ve never experienced being by a canal before, or perhaps you’re a seasoned canal enthusiast, we want to take you on an adventure.
Canal & River Trust is a charity which cares for 2,000 miles of waterways in England and Wales and we need your support. Discover the special places on your doorstep. Visit canalrivertrust.org.uk
